Itinerary description
A short detour from the trail "Pico Arieiro - Pico Ruivo" to visit an abandoned old house in a small plateau in "Pico Cidrão". The old trail is now little used and it has narrow and slippery areas. This trail should only be done in good weather conditions for your safety and to enjoy the panoramic landscape.

Easy to follow
Scenery
Very difficult
Followed this trail back in 2014 - found upper sections (near start) very tricky with large rucksack. Followed continuation (clearly visible on Google Earth) down towards Faja dos Cardos but 'lost' trail low down (below P. Ginda).
Strange, massive, concrete 'objects' rising up/clinging to mountainside high up.
