Itinerary description
We actually started where we finished. Walked down to Acebuchal and took the trail at the bottom of the hill. Took the trail to the left instead of going up the hill to the right. Take the trail until coming back to the road. After the ruined venta take the trail to the right instead of going up the hill to the left. This trail goes up for about a half hour then take the road to the right at the top that doubles back. This road leads to the beginning of this trail. We went up this well marked trail for 40 minutes or so and had lunch. Continuing up this trail is long and difficult. It goes over the top of the mountain and down the other side eventually to ruined Cortijo Daire. The trail is basically make you own trail. We had an old trail from 2012 that sent us through thick gorse. Eventually you get to the road back to Paez Blanca and Acebuchal.
