Route through the southern part of the Cliffs of Moher.
It starts a little south of the visitor center, right next to a car park (Guerin's Path) where you can leave your car and which is just 50 meters from the path that runs along the cliff. Parking costs 5 euros per person, it is a little cheaper than the visitor center and of course closer to the trail. In addition, the old trick that everyone gets out of the car except the driver and so only one person pays is easy to do.
The route follows the Burren way to the ruins of an ancient Napoleonic-era defensive tower, the Moher Tower at Hag's Head. the views are magnificent throughout the tour. Near the Moher Tower there is another Liscannor Walk car park. It is another option to leave the car. There they charge only 3 euros.
We made the return by the roads a little more inland to change a bit. You can also make an extension to the O'Brien tower and thus see a little more of the cliffs that are around the visitor center. We were satisfied with what we saw and preferred to save a little time to stop at the beautiful Fanore Beach before heading back to Galway for a pint on the High Street.
