This route has been one of the pleasant surprises of Dublin and if you are stopping in the city but need to get some air, do not hesitate: go to Howth.
You can get there from the center of Dublin with city buses or by train. We went on bus number 6 and returned on the H3.
On our route, after advancing 150 meters from the stop, we turned right into an alley that looked like a narrow vegetable tunnel (photo 2), but which ends up leading to the edge of the cliff, with beautiful views on both sides of the Peninsula de Howth and, opposite, the Dublin coast.
You have to go back a few meters to take the path towards the lighthouse, which is not accessible. However, the views are magnificent.
The path continues parallel to the coast, over the cliffs, but it is already a wide path, so there is no sense of danger, despite the height above the sea at which it advances.
During the rest of the journey, coves, islets full of seagulls and capricious forms of the coast follow one another.
Already close to the center of Howth, the islands of Lambay and Ireland's Eye can be seen, a sign that you are reaching the end of the route, which ends shortly after passing the Howth marina.
