Itinerary description

A tour from Awenne to Fourneau St-Michel and back to Awenne. You follow the trail clockwise looking at the map.

You follow mainly the green cross marked path, with a detour of 3.5 km in the valley of la Masblette, where you can see two museums: of the rural life in Wallonia and of forgery.

You go mainly on dirt roads in forests, and through fields (muddy in some places), but also on asphalt. We had the longest stretch of asphalt in the beginning where we did a kind of shortcut by going downhill on the road from Awenne towards Grupont instead of taking a longer green cross-marked path. However, the green cross marked path is much nicer, goes through the fields and forest. In Awenne you have to follow signs for Mirwart instead of Grupont, you continue on Grand Rue, and after a few hundred metres you turn right.

Bridge over la Masblette

At the bridge (km 4.1) you leave the trail marked with the green cross to do a tour in the valley of La Masblette. You come back to the the bridge afterwards (at km 7.7).

Museum of the rural life in Wallonia

A few dozen metres after you pass next to the entry to the museum on your left, you will reach an asphalt road. Turn right and continue around a minute on the asphalt. Look for a way left to go into the forest (at the exit from a parking place).
