We will leave the car in 'Parking Izvor Cetine Glavas'.
There is a wooden viewpoint where we can observe from above a monument of nature, known as the Eye of the Earth. We can go down to it by some stairs that will be on the right.
The spring, with its turquoise water, with a surface area from end to end of just over 33 m, has been protected since 1971 and is considered the official national monument of Croatia.
Apparently, some divers have managed to dive to 115 meters; but they haven't hit bottom.
The water temperature is estimated between 4 and 8ºC. It is so cold and so clear because it is a karstic spring, that is, a source from which underground water springs from the depths of the earth and this water is very cold.
We did not find any sign prohibiting bathing but we did not see anyone do it either.
Just a few meters away we will find an Orthodox temple from the last century, Church of the Ascension of the Lord.
In case you are interested:
* We went between 9.30/10 a.m. and it was not crowded.
* Parking and views are FREE
* Knin direction, just over 1km from the spring, we stopped to have a few beers at 'Shop U-Muzeju'. A peculiar place where they worked manually with wood, iron, among other things. The woman who serves is charming and the prices are not unreasonable (a beer = 2 euros).
