Itinerary description
This is a superb area with lots on nice walks and cafes. We parked at the NT car park in Cotehele. Easy to find by following road signs. There are toilets and a nice cafe at the NT Cotehele. The footpaths seems well signed and in good repair. We walked down to Calstock where there are a few shops, pub and another cafe. Then we walked up to the railway station to look across the viaduct, unfortunately you can’t cross it in foot, we walked back along a road but should really have taken one of the footpaths up the east side of the valley before crossing the stream did returning past a mine and a wonderful bench with a view. Ideal for a picnic.
