Itinerary description
We walk all the way up with 2 dogs, saw 6 of the 7 lakes and came back using the lift.
Starting from the paid parking, the path is located on the right side, just passing the first wooden cabin (cafeteria). Most of the signs are blurred, but some says "ezera" or "езеро" wich means lake in bulgarian. The first 30' are very steep and makes you regret for not taking the lift, but at least it gets easier. Besides it's less crowded and is a good area to walk the dogs without a leash, keep in mind that around the lakes they must always go with the leash. Just be careful because there are paths only for bikes (usually with signs).
The lake area was the easiest part for us. We decided to take the left path passing the restaurant cabin. Most of the people go to the right, and both paths meet at the big waterfall close to the "kidney lake". From there you can go up to access several viewpoints.
For the downhill, we took the lift, it was allowed to take dogs on your lap under your on responsability, so hold your pet tight and enjoy!
Note: We are not experienced hikers! It's the first time we make this route and first time we successfully recorded a whole track so we have made some mistakes like forgetting to stop tracking while we were searching for the right path, exploring round or having a break.
