Itinerary description
Torc Mountain. The climb is mostly on boardwalks (old railway sleepers) to protect the bog land. It’s not a big climb, but it’s unremitting. There are very few flat stretches to get your breath back. Fortunately, you have the excuse to stop frequently on the ascent to let those descending go by on the boardwalk. Quite exposed to wind and/or (hopefully) sun. Amazing views over the Killarney Lakes.
