Tour of the Appalachian Trail ( Appalachian Trail ), passing through the state of Virginia (United States), in the Central Virginia sector, from south to north. From the Sarver Hollow Shelter, to the intersection of the trail with the VA-621, Craig Creek Valley Road.
The stage corresponds to the first part of section 30, according to the official distribution of stages of the Appalachian Trail, passing through Virginia, and throughout its route runs along the rocky ridge of Sinking Creek Mountain, with a gradual descent by its east slope, towards the Craig Creek Valley, always inside the George Washington Jefferson National Forest.
