Tour of the Appalachian Trail (Appalachian Trail), passing through the state of Virginia (United States), in the area called Central Virginia, from south to north. From the Pine Swamp Branch Shelter, to the War Spur Shelter.
The stage corresponds to the first part of section 33 and the second part of section 32 of the AT, according to the official distribution of stages of the Appalachian Trail, passing through Virginia, and in most of its route runs along the Big Mountain and the protected natural area of Mountain Lake Wilderness, which is part of the George Washington Jefferson National Forest.
