Tour of the Appalachian Trail ( Appalachian Trail ), as it passes through the southwest of the state of Virginia (United States), from south to north, from the Jenkins Shelter, located almost on the banks of the Hunting Camp Creek, to the intersection with route US-52.
This stage corresponds to the first part of section 37, according to the official distribution of sections of the TA in the state of Virginia, and runs along the Brushy Mountain, always within the George Washington - Jefferson National Forest, in a Easy layout, almost entirely along a wide path (former forest track or agricultural and livestock use), almost without rock or stony sections.
