Duration excluding breaks: 3 hours.

We thought it was a beautiful but tough walk. A steep climb to the top over paths with loose boulders/stones, over a wide dirt road (note: you may also encounter cars and cyclists here). Then it's time to climb between the tree roots. Beautiful views in several places!

Once at the top we had a beautiful view all around.

The way back was easy overall. In a number of places there was a steep drop, including a path with many tree roots. You also walk along the dirt road for a while and you may encounter cars and cyclists.

We again saw fields with no autumn style in them, but also various mushrooms.

We suspect that if you walk the route the other way around, it will be easier. If you walked like this, would you let us know?

Parking is available in various places in the village of Rateče. Catering industry in Rateče and just beyond the three-country point at the Dreiländereck Hütte. Check opening times yourself if you want to use something there.

We suspect that it can be quite slippery in some parts when it rains. The view of the 3 countries point is probably also a lot less beautiful/distant.

We would like it if you provide the walk with a review and/or if you submit changes and/or additions.

If you would like to follow in our "footsteps" more often, please choose to follow us!

We wish you a nice walk.

Mark & Ilse
