Itinerary description
Divided into easy 14-15 km days over relatively flat terrain. Best during spring time March-April. One way route from south to north facing Mount Hermon. Take a southbound bus or taxi from Masade to return to the starting point at Juwayza spring near Aloney Habashan.
3 day plan
Day 1: Start from Juwayza spring near Aloney Habashan and follow Golan Trail north to Ein Zivan via Bashanit range and dysfunctional wind turbines hill. Pizza di Qualita for dinner (15-20 daily except Sunday) or cook your own.
Day 2: Matarello cafe (8-13 daily except Sunday) for breakfast, then follow the Golan Trail north and up Bental hill. Lunch at Coffee Anan (10-16 daily), then descend to the hot water pipe into Bental reservoir. Night at Merom Golan and cook your own dinner.
Day 3: walk north via paleomagnetic rocks, Poran ruins and training buildings to Odem Forest, then to Masade for late lunch at Beit Hasambusak.
4 day plan:
Days 1-2 are the same.
Day 3: From Merom Golan via Hermonit hill to El-rom.
Day 4: From El-rom via Odem hill and Odem forest or Birkat Ram to Masade.
