Note géographique et géologique
L'altitude maximum en Lot-et-Garonne se situe à Sauveterre-la-Lémance à la limite avec la commune de Loubejac, près du lieu-dit le Garrit. Le village est traversé par La Lémance qui se jette dans le Lot après avoir parcouru 34 km depuis le département de la Dordogne.

Note historique
Le Sauveterrien désigne des industries du Mésolithique d'une période correspondant à 9500 à 7500 ans BP. Il se caractérise par l'abondance de microlithes utilisés notamment pour la chasse (pointes de Sauveterre pour les flèches).

Geographical notes
The maximum altitude in Lot-et-Garonne is located in Sauveterre-la-Lémance on the border with the town of Loubejac, near Garrit hamlet. La Lémance crosses the village town and flows into the Lot after a 34 km journey from the Dordogne department.

Historical notes
The Sauveterrien designates industries of the Mesolithic period corresponding to 9500 to 7500 years BP. It features an abundance of microliths used in particular for hunting (points of Sauveterre for arrows).
