Itinerary description
231) Wappa Falls - 25th February 2019
Return Distance 200m, Max Elevation 82m, Climb 24m, Time 0.5hr, Level - Easy
Co-ordinates -26.570800, 152.924870
My Blog:
With low water levels in the dam due to the dry weather, there was little to no water flowing, which was disappointing.
Short Description:
Only a very short walk from the car park and a bit of rock hopping if you want some good pictures, with the option to walk up to the dam and Jack Harrison Park.
Getting there:
Turn off the Bruce Highway at Yandina and head into the town. At the first roundabout, turn left into Fleming Street and left again at the traffic lights into Nambour North Connection Road. After 1km, turn right into Wappa Falls Road. Turning right into Pump Station Road will take you to the head of the falls car park.
Maps:
None found.
Route/Trail notes:
None needed.
Permits/Costs:
None.
Other References/Comments:
There is a short walk off to the left of the car park, up to the Pump House, Jack Harrison Park and the foot of the dam wall. There is ample parking, picnic, BBQ and toilet facilities here.
