Stage three of the Khopra Ridge, fourteenth of the Annapurna Circuit.
In this stage, we leave the Khopra Ridge and enter the Annapurna Base Camp. The point where you leave the Khopra Ridge is at the crossroads of WP 0162 (which continues towards Tadapani-Ghandruk-Kimche), from there you take a path that ends at Chuile which is already part of the ABC (comes from Ghorepani -Deurali-Tadapani).
The stage is very long because it starts at 05:30 a.m. going up from Dobato to Mount Muldai (or Mulde 3,637 m), it is totally worth stopping in Dobato and climbing at dawn. You can see all the Daulaghiris and the southern wall of the Annapurnas (Machhapuchhare, Hiunchuli, Anapurna Sur, etc).
After breakfast, at 07.30 I started the real stage that was going to accumulate many meters up (more than 1,500) and down (2750!!!!). It is one of the stages that you either go up or down (with a lot of slope) you never flatten, with which the progression is slow and you end up tired after 10 hours of trekking.
When you enter the ABC, it becomes a half slope, with a succession of stone steps (up and down mercilessly), without possible loss, with fantastic views of both the valleys and the snow-capped peaks that are being discovered and with other types of hikers: many groups (many inexperienced people and with some difficulty), with guides and porters and who make short distance journeys with many stops including a central stop to eat.
The towns/villages that you pass through are generally well cared for and maintained and the lodges, likewise and with a few dishonorable exceptions, are quite good.
