Note géographique et géologique
Proche de la Gironde, le terroir des Côtes-de-Duras s'inscrit dans le prolongement des vignobles bordelais. Les vignobles de Saint-Sernin surplombent le lac de Castel Gaillard convoité par un promoteur immobilier touristique européen.

Note historique
Le prunier s'est établi dans le Sud-Ouest après la guerre de Cent Ans et l'appellation "prunier d'ente" (enter=greffer en vieux français) est née en 1815.

Geographical notes
Near the Gironde border, the Côtes-de-Duras terroir is an extension of the Bordeaux vineyards. The vineyards of Saint-Sernin overlook Lake Castel Gaillard, coveted by a European tourist property developer.

Historical notes
The plum tree was established in the South-West after the Hundred Years War and the appellation "prunier d'ente" (enter = graft in old French) is created in 1815.
