Itinerary description
From Arran Point, swim the river and ford to Northerly End of Metro Park East.Walk to shops and return to border of Orewa River at Southern End of Metro Park East.Walk out to Channel Marker off Setllers Grove Orewa before crossing on a 45 degree angle towards the "House with the Orange Roof on the right" and when the river is crossed, re-orientate to the "House with the Orange Roof on the left" which has a good exit gradient to Te Ara Tahuna and is also "relatively" mud free or atleast it is shallow mud.
Trip ends following Te Ara Tahuna through Settlers Grove to finish at the Dog Bowl in Maygrove.
