Itinerary description
Trail from bus stop in Basovizza to Piazza Dalmazia in Trieste via trails on the Slovenian border and Trebiciano.
It starts following the Josef Ressel walking trail, but then turns off to the right to explore some little-used paths, crossing over into Slovenia for a while. Staying on the Josef Ressel walking trail would probably have been more interesting, though, and a bit shorter.
Returning to Italy, it follows more paths in the Karst forests running parallel with the border with Slovenia, then continues through Trebiciano to return to Trieste, following some minor roads towards the end.
