Itinerary description
Snowed all night. And more in the morning. Forecast was more snow. Teams heading towards Cho La decided to either hunker down or abort. We chose the latter, as weather forecast was more snow for the next 48 hours. Pass won't be passable unless weather cleared up for a day or two at least. Heavy hearts, but decided to head back. Tracking and following the trail along the steep slopes was a challenge our guide managed quite well. Stopped at Thukla for some food. And marched on to Periche, reaching Pangboche by evening. Snow, sleet, snow. That's been the story. And the beauty of the landscape transformed by it.
