Itinerary description
A popular trail in the Mesa Lake region of Grand Mesa, Colorado. Autumn arrives early with Grand Mesa’s high elevation, most of the aspens along this trail were wearing their beautiful golden color. (Although the aspens were mostly around Mesa Lake and Sunset Lake, near the shore of Lost Lake, which was the end of this hike, it was mostly pine trees.)
This is the perfect medium-length hike on Grand Mesa (Crag Crest is too long and required too much commitment), among the tranquil waters of a few alpine lakes with great scenic views.
