Itinerary description
A short and (relatively) accessible way to experience Linville Gorge of North Carolina, with magnificant views along the trail.
The last 2.4 miles towards the trailhead was unpaved, of which, the last mile was not in great shape and required *either* extreme caution or SUV-like ground clearance.
The first half of the trail was in woods and constant elevation gain. The second half followed the canyon rim, with many overlooks lining the trail.
The trail continued on as "Mountains-to-Sea Trai", I went slightly deeper than the AllTrails map before turning back.
