We were in Uttarakhand to do the Nandi Kund trek.
To acclimatize to the altitude and live, feel the country, we wanted to start with 3 Hindu pilgrimage sites. Nandikund Lake is also a sacred place.
The road to access the various sites is constantly cut by landslides and you can find these little "chip shops" absolutely everywhere.
We had left for the Nandi Kund, but unfortunately a pilgrim died a few days before on the route we were going to take. The mountain did not seem to be in question, but rather an incompetence in the face of altitude sickness. No matter, the mountain is closed and you have to go down. We know the route and the views are very similar to the climb.
We came to this region because it is less touristy (Europeans) than Nepal, but they are also less well organized and frank than the Nepalese. A little snow should not prevent an expedition.
