Itinerary description
Much of this route was on the canal towpath, so it was pretty level, but there were a few hills on the Antonine Wall sections, plus quite a bit of undulating land in country parks, so there ended up being a fair bit of climb overall.
Highlights included watching the Falkirk Wheel in operation, and a slight route variation to take in a canal tunnel. I combined two stages of the John Muir Trail into one long day.
