Itinerary description
A one-day water reccie for an upcoming multi-day trip. As expected, following the heavy summer rains, there was plenty of water around. It was a good day out in interesting country.
I didn't want anyone to think my vehicle was abandoned, so I left a note saying "Bushwalking" on the dash. When I returned, the Tjoritja rangers had left a note on the windscreen saying "you need a permit for any Bushwalking on any land in Central Aus". This was a sour note on which to end the day. The rangers should know that their own website says permits are needed for OVERNIGHT trips.
