Itinerary description
One could do this hike from any place in Frigiliana and obviously also spend more time on this beautifully situated white village.
We wanted to get a good view of the lay out of the village and decided to include the ascent to the ruins of the Castillo de Lazir, situated at 400 metres, giving you an all around superb view.
Then we descended to the water reservoir de Lizar, and took the track to the MA5105. Although this part of the walk is along a main road the views are more than interesting.
At the junction with the signpost Loma de la Cruz we followed the small road to the south and enjoyed the continuous views of Frigiliana and the coast. The road goes up and down, but more down obviously and coming to a smalller road turning sharply to the north we arrived back at Frigiliana again. This last strech will give you a steep descent of 14% to 220m. after which you will have to digest an ever steeper ascent of 22% to the main road of Frigiliana at 300m.
A very nice walk even though most of it is along (quiet) roads.
