Itinerary description

From Pyramid Gorge we followed the ridge north across the range, descending into a creek which we followed downstream until we could cross into the headwaters of Mulga Creek, in which we found good water.

We left Mulga Creek via a western tributary, ascending the range for the second time. From the top of the range we sidled around the east side of the creek that descends to the northern plain and passes to the east of Peak Alone.

We then crossed to the north of Peak Alone until we reached a usable campsite. Nearby was a spot which sometimes has water, but which held only a pile of cattle slurry. Fortunately a fold in the rock above held a bathtub-full of poor but usable water.
