Itinerary description
This is a new trail that takes you on the edge of the cliffs overlooking Tannourine with view of Tannourine Fawqa (Upper), Tannourine Tahta (Lower),and Jurd (Highlands) Tannouerine. This trail started from the beginning of the Jurd and walked on pavement for a good 1.5+ km and then a steep uphill for about 2 km until we reached the trail on the shoulders of Tannourine Cliff. We trekked the cliffs until we reached the Rahwe cross and its panoramic view of the Tannourine and Batroun district. After a short (tea) break we moved inland towards the Rahwe natural water spring where we came across a group of campers using the spring mouth as a fridge to keep their food cold.
Even though i visited the area many times, this was the first time that I muster courage and crawl inside the second cave of the spring to reach the caves 50 meters deep inside the mountain (see waypoints).
After the Rahwe spring the trail flattened and walked on a dirt road until we reached the cliffs again and started our downhill trek to the cars.
The trqil is a beautiful moderate trail. It is the best time to do this trail for their high elevation where the wind balances the rays of the scorching sun.

Point Of View
This point gives you the view of the St. Simeon (Semaan) cross of Hadath El Jibbeh; the cross is on the right most hill top.
Cave

Rahwe Water Spring
The water of this natural spring is drinkable and comes from inside of the mountain. The water dries up in the summer but the wind that comes from inside the cave is so cold that you can't face it for one minute. To our surprise, this visit we saw campers using the cold wind as a fridge to keep their food fresh.

Rahwe Water Spring Minor
This water spring is about 25 meters far from the main cave; I crawled about 50+ meters tunnel to reach its cave which is connected to the main one.
