Itinerary description
Trail to Mendenhall Glacier and Ice Cave.
Location of ice cave and glacier access could change from season to season and should serve only as reference.
The first half of the recording was on "West Glacier Trail", which was wide and even and well-maintained. After that the recording went on the glacier spur trail which was narrow and had a few muddy and steep sections. The most technical of which was a giant wall that I would rate as very entry level YDS class 2. When dry, that wall shouldn't post any difficulty for most people.
After that there was a creek crossing that looked a bit scary (p5). Look for red ribbons in the bushes in the left, which would lead to a plank and much safer crossing.
