Itinerary description
My recovery from previous day’s grueling hike to Matanuska Peak was this short hike, with amazing views of Hatcher Pass and valley of Little Susitna River with snowy mountains at the backdrop.
The first half of the trail was pretty steep going up a hill, after which the elevation gain smoothed out. Please note the trail I took from the parking lot (towards the east) is not the most ideal route uphill, the downhill route (towards the west) is. The trail continued beyond where I stopped, probably towards Rae-Wallace Mountain.
