Itinerary description

Today we will walk from the Khorburtse camp to Urdukas.
As Manuel comments, today we will do a shorter and more relaxed route. We continue walking along the Baltoro glacier delighting ourselves with new peaks and glaciers. Before reaching Urdukas we already see one of the Gasherbrums, very far in the background. Not long later we reached Urdukas Camp, at 4016m.
It is a fairly large camp. As a curiosity, comment that the toilets are quite far from it, in an area with several sloping latrines. There we will enjoy views of Broad Peak and talk (or try) with two soldiers camped below. This will be the last camp where we can "shower" and wash clothes.
8 years ago there was an accident in which several porters died due to a landslide. A plaque reminds them:
"THIS PLATE IS PLACED IN THE MEMORY OF THE THREE GOALKEEPERS MR. MUHAMMAD HUSSAIN, MR. MUHAMMAD AKBAR AND MR. MUHAMMAD DE VILLAGE BASHATEH IN DISTT, SHIGAR VALLEY, BALTISTAN WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES ON AUGUST 16, 2011, IN THE CAMP. URDUKAS DURING A FALL OF ROCKS, WHILE SERVING THE CAUSE OF TOURISM WITH THE "MOUNTAIN COMPANY OF UK"
BEING SUPPORTED BY "HUNZA GUIDES PAKISTAN"
MAY ALLAH BLESS THEIR SOULS IN ETERNAL PEACE (AAMEEN) "

At dinner time, the cooks surprise us with a birthday cake, since Manuel was turning 46.
