Itinerary description
We took this day fairly slowly. We climbed to the summit of Mt Giles and back, using the most direct and easiest route, then made our way east to Oasis Spring where there are a couple of trickling pools.
A few metres upstream is a pool which would have to be swum, even with the low water levels of 2019. You can climb around the pool on the left (west), but it takes you a loooong way up the ridge and down again. We didn't go there on this trip, but above the swim is a string of more than a dozen pools which I call Upper Oasis Spring.
