Itinerary description
By far, one of the most difficult hikes I encountered.
The hike started from Balou Balaa in Shatine and up a steep climb of a rocky trail up the Namrood (furious) mountain; the mountain is actually a rocky formation that was washed with sun, snow, and water over millions of years leading to majestic rock formation. To enjoy such scenery, you must pay the price of hiking such a difficult terrain. The trail is a mixed of LMT trail and personal improvisations. Once we reached the top of the mountain we encountered nature chiseled rock formations, caves, mini canyons, and rock crevasses that is still holding tiny amounts of snow within them.
The weather was a typical late summer weather: sunny with mountain breeze and blue skies with intercepted white clouds and fog up at high altitudes.
A wonderful extreme hike.
