Itinerary description
A spectacular way to get from Giles Spring to the Giles Yard Spring campsite, climbing from Oasis Spring onto the ridgetop, passing above the Canyon of Defiance, then descending by the ridge to the east of Giles Yard Spring. The campsite is where this GPS trace ends, 15 minutes downstream from Giles Yard Spring and south of a short fence.
There is likely to be good water at Giles Spring and Giles Yard Spring, but you always need a Plan B in case there's no water when you get there.
