Itinerary description
Mount Sunnine is a mountain in the Mount Lebanon range. Its highest point is 2,628 m (8,622 feet) above sea level. Mount Sunnine, which has a base of limestone, is the source of many mountain springs.
Our trail will started from the foot of Sunnine in the Mtayn town limits from 1650. The trail went on a dirt road all the way up to mount Sunnine cross in time to watch the breathtaking view of Bekaa, Mediterranean, and the sunset with its many shades of orange color at 2457 meters ASL altitude. After witnessing the sunset and taking in the scenery of the ponds of Kfardebian we took a mostly downhill dirt road to Ouyoun El Seeman and onto the bus.
The weather was warm at the start of the hike but once you get to the top, the wind is brutal and you are recommended to have the proper clothing (base layer, fleece, and a vest or a windbreaker)
Only recommended for fit hikers
