Itinerary description
Vanuit Heimbach al vrij snel een zeer steile klim naar de Abdij Mariawald, dan een lange afdaling tot aan de Rurtalsperre bij Schwammenauel en dan langs de oever van het stuwmeer terug naar Heimbach.

Zeer afwisselende en mooie wandeling.
Mooie bospaden en prachtige uitzichten. De abdij kun je niet in maar is van buiten ook de moeite waard.
