Itinerary description
Wanted to complete the longer ridge walk, but given the conditions and time available had to settle for out and back today. Around 2-3 inch of wet snow on the road up to Ben Lawers carpark. Waited for the rain to pass before setting off. Quite a few skiers out, so followed their tracks to gain height (slightly off bearing) until reaching the ridge and onto the south top. Reduced visibility from south top. Crampons needed before the steep rake (left of the rocky knoll) to continue onto the summit. Returned the same way. Clouds lifted below the south top to finish with great views of the Ben Lawers range.
