Itinerary description
A great difficult hike; the ascent/descent is a killer steep slope with lots of small rocks. We came across many crosses and a statue of St. Charbel. the weather was sunny and windy during this time of the year. The views were breathtaking (for a lack of a better word) 360 degrees; you get to see the Bekaa Valley and the Mediterranean. The sunset view is itched in my memory forever.
This is not a hike for beginners.

From the little black Statue of Mar Charbel to Mzar, we walked 300m through the landmine area that is clearly marked (at the end) by collapsed metallic fences.
To my opinion we should absolutely avoid this area.
I recommend to avoid the black Mar Charbel statue, and directly go the Mzar from by the perpendicular road on the northern slope.
