Itinerary description
Starting from Romance Hotel in St Elena & Constantin Resort, I walked uphill to Vinitsa village, a picturesque village with local market (and a greek tavern, by the way). On its north exit starts the trail to Aladja monastery passing from a forest. I visited the monastery, which is excavated on soft rock, and full of 'tamata' in the form of small pieces of paper with a name written on them and folded.
From the monastery originate at least three well-marked trails. I followed the one that descends to Golden Sands Resort, again crossing a forest, ending to the main road.
From there I took the bus back to hotel.
