Itinerary description
Asics new trail shoes, Rising sun tights, AdiSkin and Race 1.5L black pack.
Six Cheese Sausages, Milo 1 Can, 200grams Banana Cake.
Total distance covered in a day = 28Km
Time taken = total 12 Hours
Abu and Tash did not reach KEM KASUT & Mount Yong Belar Peak. They both reached only KEM TUDUNG PERIUK. Since it was their biggest physical and mental challenge testing their abilities to the limit, reaching the KEM Tudung Periuk was to be considered as an achievement.
Part 1 = 4Km walk along the muddy 4WD path
Part 2 = 250 steep and big cement steps
Part 3 = 30 minutes balancing walk on the water pipes
Part 4 = Crossing the icy cool river and walk in the river
Part 5 = Muddy mountain trail path which took hours
Part 6 = KEM TUDUNG PERIUK
Part 7 = KEM KASUT
Part 8 = CRAZY CLIMB TO THE MOUNT YONG BELAR PEAK.
Weather = very cold, wet and windy
GPS SIGNAL = Very Strong
Hiking Grade = Very CHALLENGING and not recommended for beginner like ABU and TASH!
Lessons learnt = Must not bring MaNKeys into the jungle as they will delay your journey and you might need to call for EMERGENCY SEARCH AND RESCUE!
