Be carefull: this is no path for strollers!

The path is devided in three parts. The first part ist starting from Agia Roumeli on the regular E4 to Sougia. At the highest point in a forrest - before you go down to Domata - you have to leave the E4 and turn right into a low valley. You have to follow this valley in direction NNW (easy way).
Now part two begins, the path is no more obvious. You have to walk on a small line of different small peaks (4). Now you've got the best views down to Kladou Gorge and up to Volakias peak. On top of the last peak an old cultivated area in a closed valley is visible. In NE direction you will path a ruin soon.
From now on the path is more secure again. You follow the path in NE direction to arrive at the edge to Samaria Gorge. Here you are back on track (Path from Kokinavari saddle to Agia Roumeli). Now part three begins.
You lead to Papoures peak in an open range. Afterwards you have to leave in south direction. No clear path but you can orientate by another ruined building (altitude ~800m). There you have to turn left (NE direction) into a forrest. A path is visible. Follow the path through the forrest till you reach the upper ruined castle (550m). Agia Roumeli and the Lybian Sea lies bellow your feet. From the old castle you have to go 50m backwards to find the path down to Agia Roumeli - still in the forrest. Follow the visible path to the lower Castle (220m), now you are again in an open range. At the lower castle you can decide, which way you want to go down finaly. I've chosen the direct way (south). But it's also possible to walk to the old village of Agia Roumeli in Samaria Gorge. For that you have to leave the lower castle at its east corner in direction north.
