Marcher 20 min pour rejoindre la Fromagerie Gourmande, Espace d’exposition, dégustations et boutique de produits régionaux.
Puis continuer jusqu'à l'Auberge aux Deux Sapins, Montricher village, aux centre du village, Puis, suivez la route jusqu'au pied de la forêt, devant vous la Fondation Jan Michalski pour l'écriture et la littérature, un havre culturel à l'architecture hors du commun, des expositions sont présentées tout au long de l'année ainsi qu'une bibliothèque ouverte à tous.

Montricher
Situated on a hill at the foot of the Jura, the village of Montricher with its 830 inhabitants is off the main road traffic roads and profits from a real quietness. Around Montricher there are numerous possibilities for hikes and strolls. The hiking tourism has marked a lot of routes that lead the hikers to Mont-Tendre (highest peak of the Swiss Jura), where one can have a rest in the cottage Buvette du Mont-Tendre, open from Mai to September. Other walking-tours lead to Rizel or Châtel. For the less athletic people there is the possibility to take a little walk through the village, which allows the visitors to admire the beautiful church with its round tower, unique in the Vaud region. It is probable that originally this tower was the chapel of the castle, which explains the thickness of the walls of its bell tower (1.80m) and the presence of arrow slits and look-out ports. From the church one can enjoy a splendid view on the plain, the Alps and the lake. After a walk one can enjoy a good meal in the Auberge aux Deux Sapins or in the Restaurant du Lion d’Or.

The adjacent restaurant delights your taste buds with a menu of the day at an excellent price-quality ratio, but you can also choose from a lovely selection of terroir dishes and vintage wines to accompany the meal. Every last Sunday of the month, La Fromagerie Gourmande organises a greatly appreciated country breakfast event. To take a bit of terroir back home with you, the shop offers a broad selection of specialties, especially delicious cheeses. A modern, fully equipped seminar room offers companies the space necessary to hold seminars and meetings combined with gourmet moments. Venue: Number of seats: 50 to 60. Room equipped with tables, chairs, beamer, flipchart. Ideal for company meetings or extra muros work sessions. Price Fr. 200.00 per day, Fr. 100.00 per half day. Rental offered if 15 people eat at the Cheese Factory restaurant.

The library is a workspace open to anyone, it brings together more than 80,000 multicultural masterpieces in languages from around the world on five floors. Its rich collection, creative domain and literary know-how, are available in hard copy or digital form. The foundation’s cultural space is dedicated to temporary exhibitions. It is a place for artists and writers to meet and share amongst themselves, bringing a new look at great artists’ work of art or present private collections.
