My Blog:
Camped at Kenilworth Homestead. This was an easy walk and a fun drive for the kids on a Sunday morning.
Short Description:
Walk through tall open forest and discover this scenic creek's cascades, waterfalls and rock pools. At the junction of Peters and Booloumba creeks view The Breadknife rock formation. Swim in the pools at the base of the falls with its beautiful cool mountain water on a hot summers day.
Getting there:
From Kenilworth travel south on the Maleny Kenilworth Road for 7km before turning right onto Booloumba Creek Road. Travel a further 5km along this road to the entrance of the park. From here on in you need a High Clearances 4WD to make two creek crossings and to travel the 10km to the Fall's parking area.
Maps:

Route/Trail notes:
From the parking area follow the well worn track down to the falls and back.
Permits/Costs:
None.
Other References/Comments:
There are various camping options within the park that require you to buy a permit. See:

Just a tip, if you go for a swim, check for leaches when you get dressed again.
