Stage very varied in terms of landscape. We started in Dummadrochit, where yesterday we went out of the way to make the tourist visit to the castle of Urquhart.
After leaving the village, we walked for a little over 1.5 kms along a road on the road, and then, we turn off to the left and start, already on the path, a steep climb, which also allows us the last views of the Loch. Ness.
After a gentle descent, we enter through an asphalt road, in an area of páramos, totally uninhabited. And, suddenly, we see that a house that also has solar panels on the roof, hehehe !. Also later on we will see another, but this, it seems more logical, than a small windmill.
We leave the paved road, entering a narrow path that crosses a beautiful forest and very quiet until a curve in which we will see for the first time, down there, Inverness.
After the corresponding descent along the path, we enter the town of Inverness. I make the reservation that being already in the urban area, I left the road marking of the road, to make the last kilometer by the entrance road to the city, which is not a problem, since in the urban area it has sidewalks, and that the The previous day I had seen from the bus that it was worth taking some pictures.
This road ends at the same Inverness castle, where the monolith marks the end (or the beginning) of the Great Glen Way.
Moving time: 6h 6min.
