We started walking with rain, although in the end the day will not be all bad. The first place where we arrive is to the town of Tyndrum, where we buy groceries for the day in the store.
We take the path, going through a valley, with good views up to Brigde of Orchy. It is a town with houses (not in all the villages we can say the same in this route) and probably with the possibility of accommodation. When leaving the town, after crossing the bridge, we started a steep climb in which we will contemplate excellent views of lakes and mountains, until we reach the top of the hill, where a steep descent to Inveroran begins.
Inveroran has only one hotel and one pub, much less than Bridge of Orchy. In the pub we made a stop to have a pint of beer and a plate of haggis with cheese (nothing to do with the one from the previous day). Many, many midgets in that area.
From Inveroran, the path runs along a long wasteland, encased in a valley, which is simply impressive. I look forward and see the path that extends almost to the horizon. I look to the sides and see peaks, lakes and some stream. There is not a living soul. There are no animals. For not having, there are no midgets. Simply, awesome. And so we arrived at the Glencoe Mountain Resort, a sky station, which we left to the left and quickly reached the junction with the A-82 road where there is a bus stop (Bus Stop White Corries) right next to some stones painted white, where we wait for the bus to move to the town of Glencoe, which is where we pretend to sleep that night (we still do not have anything reserved). If you plan to take that bus, in the pub of Inveroran you will be kindly informed of the bus schedules on your way through White Corries.
While we wait for the bus, we take something to eat, then we stop and luck! Quickly for a driver of a van that takes us to Glencoe. There, there are many B & Bs and we have no problem finding one at the right price.
By the way, that the landscape of the road from White Corries to Glencoe is simply spectacular. Keep the camera ready.
Accommodation at Glencoe Grianan B & B for £ 44 a double room, including full scotish breakfast.
