Comment : T4 rating is not for Pierre Avoi which is "tourist-rated T4" but really a T3, the extreme attendance rating tough is for Pierre Avoi I don't think cable cars were working but still it was so crowded you could barely film or take pictures :/ Tête des Etablons will probably be peaceful on the other hand, unless you do the straight ascent like us it's a long detour to reach it.
99% of this hike is T2-T3 the ascent is still rough but not too bad as the trails are very easy to walk on. The T4 rating is for the "not on official maps" ascent of Tête des Etablons, it's steep and will require a bit of rock climbing and pathfinding skills to find the beginning of the path at the transition between dirt trail to rock wall, I tried to go left at the rocks that was a mistake you need to go around the rocks on your right (check pictures) after that "anti-amateur gate" there's actually an easy to follow trail leading to the top and not that much rock climbing to do, it's not hard, it might be scary for regular hikers tough you need to be confident in yourself and that you can reach a summit without markings or trails leading you.
I had planned a longer hike till Col des Mines and slower softer descent but it started raining.
