Note géographique et géologique
L' Eau Bourde surgit à Cestas pour se jeter 2.5km plus au nord dans la Garonne. Elle alimentait jusqu'au XIXème siècle les marécages de Bègles. On lui dénombre une quarantaine d'affluents et fossés.

Note historique
Au début du XIIIème siècle, les Frères Hospitaliers construisirent un hospice pour accueillir les pèlerins de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle, à Cayac, dernière étape avant l' inhospitalière traversée des Landes.

Flore: charme commun, pin sylvestre, cyprès chauve, séquoia, chêne pédonculé, chêne des marais, pin maritime, fougère aigle, prêle, houx commun

Faune: canard colvert, pigeon biset, pie bavarde, mésange charbonnière, tourterelle turque, merle noire, aigrette garzette, héron cendré, corneille noire, martin pêcheur d'Europe, rouge-gorge familier, pigeons biset semi-domestiques, grand cormoran, oie cendrée, gallinule poule d'eau, pigeon ramier, mésange de Pleske ?

Geographical notes
The Eau Bourde creek springs in Cestas and flows 2.5km further north into the Garonne river. Until the XIXth century it fed the swamps of Bègles. There are about forty tributaries and ditches.

Historical notes
At the beginning of the 13th century, the Hospitaller Brothers built a hospice to accommodate Compostella pilgrims in Cayac, the last step before the inhospitable crossing of the Landes.
