Walk through the "wilderness" of Denali National Park in the Teklanika area.
This walk is just one example of the off-road drives that can be done through the wilderness of Denali National Park. In no case do we recommend doing this route in particular, it is best to choose an area that you like and start walking, without forgetting the map, GPS, mosquito repellent and anti-bear spray. There are no trails and the tundra bushes can make it difficult for you to pass, making it difficult to estimate the time it will take to reach an objective.
We decided to get off the Transit Bus in the Teklanika service area and walk east, towards some hills. We cross areas of bushes, areas that are very flooded, we pass through beautiful lakes surrounded by fir trees; with good views of the park's mountains. Then we walked north and, finally, we reached the road at the height of the Teklanika campground, where we took the park bus again to continue the route through the park.
