I like this day trail and have done it a few times. My own preference is to do it clockwise - the first couple of kms has some rock hopping and some steep climbs which is good to get out of the way, and the last few kms is a nice downhill tramp to the end. Considering the location, the trail offers some quite different landscapes and views. Remember to take lots of water. There is none on the trail and often the day can be hotter than expected.
